DANCEDOWN LA
DanceDown LA is a climate-dance/arts performance program. Created in 2020, this program is inspired by the Drawdown Solutions, the 100 top scientifically researched solutions to reversing global warming presented by Drawdown.org. Professional dancers and up-and-coming youth performers train and develop dance pieces, which highlight climate solutions and inspire audiences to get-into-action NOW!
The vision for our DanceDown LA program is to train 1000 performer activists to change hearts through art, and educate the public that together we CAN reverse global warming and we MUST change our daily habits. Some key messages are to reduce fossil fuels, generate clean energy, reduce food waste through composting and offset our carbon emissions from travel by planting and caring for trees.
